Old fashioned Beef Stew

1 pounds beef chuck, cut in 1 1/2 inch cubes
2 tablespoons fat
4 cups boiling water
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic
1 medium onion, sliced
1 to 2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
dash allspice or cloves
6 carrots
1 pound (18 to 24)small white onions


Potato Patties - Serves 4 - Hazel Sebens

About 1 pint of mashed potatos
1 egg
1 pinch of salt
1 dash of pepper

Mix together, take 1 tbsp of potatos and rop into a small bowl of flour. Shape into patty and fry to a golden brown in a little butter or salad oil. Turn and brown the other side.

Pizza Burgers - Marlys recipies

Brown together:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper

Season with:
- Salt, pepper, chilli powder & chilli peppers

Pour off grease. Add 1 can tomato soup. Take off burner. Add 1 cup cubed cheese.
Spread on top of halved hamburger buns.

Bake at moderate temp for 5-10 min. Serve

Three in one Hamburger Mix - Marlys

1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tbsp butter
2 lb. ground beef
2/3 cup catsup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup chopped celery
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. worcester shire sauce
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vinegar
1/2 tsp flavor enhancer (monosodium glutamate)
1/4 tsp dry mustard

Sauté onion in butter. Add beef and brown lightly. Drain off excess fat. Add rest of ingredients; simmer covered for 30min. Cool. Makes 4 cups.

Bolas de Queso - Marlys Daly

2 - 8oz queso crema
1 - cucharadita de Lowry's seasoned salt o una bolsita de cubitos maggi (paprika, turmeric, onion, garlic, salt)
8oz de piña picada en pedacitos chicos, puede ser una lata de 8oz de piña picada.
1/2 Taza - pimiento verde en pedacitos
2 tbsp - chopped green onion, cebollina
1 Taza - chopped pecans
1/2 pecans for outside of cheese balls

Combinar todo junto y hacer una bola de queso, esparcir los pecans por fuera.

Servir con crackers o palitos

This is one of my never fail dessert recipes I often make when entertaining. Tiramisu literally translates as “pick me up". I made this dessert for the first time after tasting an amazing Tiramisu in Florence. When I asked the waiter to explain the secret as to why it was so light, he explained that the chef folded whipped cream into the mascarpone cheese. I have done exactly that ever since.
